Recognizing the Impact of Cultural and Implicit Bias

Respect is key in the meeting planning industry.  Appropriate and respectful language helps everyone feel included.  Everyone needs to be aware of their own biases that impact our understanding, actions and decisions.  In this presentation we will review common terms and helpful strategies to raise awareness.

After the session, attendees will be able to:

• Identify their internal biases impacting interactions with others
• Identify filters and triggers contributing to possible microaggressions
• Develop a plan of implementation to lessen impact of implicit and cultural bias
