How to Pay Your Dues

  1. Login to the SGMP member portal at
  2. Click on the Blue “Renew” button at the top right of the page.
  3. Login with the credentials that you created for the SGMP National Website (this would be a different login from the Rocky Mountain Chapter Website).
  4. If you cannot remember your login, click on the link titled Forgot your credentials?located below the login boxes.
  5. Once you login, you will reach a page that says My Profile at the top. If you navigate away from the My Profile page, you can always return by clicking on the button under Member Login that says “Your Account.”
  6. Under the dark blue tab at the left that says Account Details, click on the tab that says My Invoices.
  7.  Your outstanding invoice will appear on the next screen, and there will be two options: View Invoice or Make Payment. You can either print the invoice to include with your check, or pay online. The following credit cards are accepted for online payment: Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

For membership questions or if you are having any issues with renewing or paying dues on-line please contact SGMP membership.
Please alert them immediately if you are having any challenges with the online renewal system or payment. Do not let your membership expire due to non-payment of dues!

Renewal invoices are created and posted to your SGMP membership account 90 days before they are due. Renewal notices are sent via email 90, 60 and 30 days prior to membership expiration. If you are affiliated with the Rocky Mountain Chapter, you will be contacted by the membership committee during the renewal cycle as an additional reminder to renew.

If it is not your time for renewal, but you would like an invoice created for payment, please contact and they will create an invoice for you.

SGMP maintains a 12 month membership cycle. Membership expires at the end of the same month in which the member joined.

There is a 30-day renewal grace period following the expiration of the membership. If the membership is not renewed by the end of that grace period, the membership is dropped. It is particularly important that supplier members renew prior to their membership being dropped. Once a supplier member is dropped from the roster, they must start the process over again and rejoin along with 2 planner matches.

Dropped Memberships

Supplier memberships that drop due to non-payment of dues are not eligible for renewal. Once a supplier membership lapses, the former member must rejoin SGMP per the current policies listed on How to Join as a Supplier. There are no exceptions to this policy. A new application must be completed and a new membership number and anniversary date will be assigned to the supplier. We encourage all suppliers to renew their membership in all circumstances as rejoining SGMP is more difficult than maintaining a membership.

Planner memberships that drop from the SGMP roster are not eligible to be a match for supplier applicants until their membership has lapsed for more than a 12-month period. Memberships that have lapsed will be reinstated with the original anniversary date if the membership has lapsed for less than a 12-month period. As a planner, you may rejoin or be reinstated at any time by submitting your completed application.

With any lapse of membership the eligibility for holding office or registering for the Certified Government Meeting Professional (CGMP) course resets. For more details on eligibility for either holding office or the course, please contact:
